To all that survived in the earthquake.

A major series of earthquakes striked Sichuan Province, China on May 12, 2008, taking away so far at least 25,000 innocent lives. Death toll has still been preliminary and constantly increasing, many people are reported missing, and even more are injured. Hundreds of children who were at school at the time are trapped in the debris (pictured above). Rescue effort had been made difficult by heavy rain, destructed roads, paralyzed telecommunication and geological separation. Many people have lost their homes forever, and complete reconstruction of their living environment is required in several cities. Before then, they have to temporarily evaculate and stay in open areas, for days or weeks with close contact with many others gathered, in which conditions infectious diseases can spread extremely fast if not well controled.

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has published its donation account, and welcomed ALL types of donation towards those who are now at this very moment still fighting against this disaster. So far, the donation has been mainly monetary as physical transportation to the destructed areas are highly obstructed (update: military troops and other rescueing teams have started to enter these areas for reliefing work). A more detailed version of this donation information is originally in Chinese and mainly made available to people who reside in China who could make the donations to local banks. However, they have posted so far two accounts accepting donation in foreign currencies from global communities, as listed below:

周日, 有些陽光, 但雲還是遮住了藍天, 在城市里逛了逛, 去海邊的 stanley 公園騎自行車吹了一圈海風, 好久沒有聞到海風的氣味, 差點兒忘了自己住在一個海濱城市.

出租的自行車沒有腳架, 所以不是為了故意造氣氛才讓它倒起. :D

以前坐車逛 Stanley 公園還從來沒注意到海邊的亂石灘上有這樣或許是某藝術家或行人留下的小藝術, 隔兩天我會嘗試多放些這些圖片. :)
